How to feel good about Yourself – is there a Way to consistently feel good?

Life is run by ups and downs, by happy times and sad times. We feel good
when things are going good and we are heartbroken when things don’t go the way we planned them. So a lot of people ask themselves is there a way to feel consistently good? Yes there is in my opinion, at least to a certain degree.

Knowing the Importance of having a higher Purpose in life

First of all I think the most important thing for being able to consistently feel good or rather fulfilled at least is to have a higher purpose in life you dedicate your life too.
Now this doesn’t mean you have to join Scientology or do a lot of charity ( although you could do both ), it just means that you have one or more goals you are moving and working towards too in your life.

Know what you want out of Life and set Yourself Goals

You choose those goals yourself. You can not ask anybody for your purpose but your-self. Somewhere I read the great task of men is not searching our purpose somewhere in the outside world or asking somebody for it. No our purpose is to find our purpose, to ask ourselves, what we want to do with our lives.

Ask yourself what do I want of life, make a plan of how to move every day forward to it and then commit to it and execute it. This could give rise to a lot of uncertainty first because you maybe have never stuck to one thing in your life, but this is good, because then now you have an opportunity to work towards something great which you have chosen.

When you know what you want and also know how you are going to get it, then you will feel fulfilled because you are moving towards something better or even just because you are moving towards something.

Live Life for the Journey and not the Outcome

Don’t make it about the outcome or the goal itself. Most important is that you have something to go towards and that you are putting in effort to improve your life. You will also learn, win, fail and most importantly grow as a person. Now tell me how thinking about this could not already make you feel more happy and excited about your life?!

Go ask yourself what you want out of life – take however much time you need, it could be days, but do it, this is important! Then map out how you are going to move forward to your goal, how you can take daily action without overwhelming yourself.
Then go and do it – commit to it, stick to it and voila you will learn how to be happy with yourself because you are on an exciting and rewarding journey -you chose!
